Consultant Training

Jan Fisher Image Coach Ltd runs training programmes in conjunction with Bespoke Image of Melbourne, Australia. The training is carried out under the auspices of  The Absolute Image Training Institute , an image coaching school created by  Imogen Lamport  and myself to provide a comprehensive ,insightful and holistic programme that caters for the needs of future image consultants .  

The training style is very experiential, practical and hands on, rather than just sitting in a classroom listening to the teacher. You will be expected to work through many exercises in a workbook, as well as practical exercises in every section of the course, from personal shopping through to draping clients for colour analysis and applying makeup.

Training Qualifications  and Standard of Courses.

Both Imogen and myself are internationally trained and hold certification through the Association of Image Consultants  International. (AICI)  I did my initial training at the international Image Institute in Canada  and went onto to do more training in both the USA and Australia. The training programmes we deliver have been  recognised by AICI and allocated continuing education credits . These enable you to further your qualifications through AICI if you choose to follow this career path.

Not all colour systems are equal
My  colour training  uses a 12 directional palette, which is based on the science of Munsell’s properties of colour.
You are guaranteed to find a palette of colours to suit your client with this system as it has far more options than any seasonal or seasonal flow system – which are limited to only 4, 8, or 10 directions. From the rich earth tones of a golden warm colour  direction  to the soft  misty blues of a  light cool colour direction our range of  colours are exceptional in both their range and their analytical  properties
As our training is very experiential, you will drape a variety of people during your course and so gain the confidence to work with clients.  The system works so easily and well that success is assured.

Becoming an Image Consultant
Are you interested in helping other people learn the skills, tips and techniques to become more confident and happier with their appearance?

Image Consultants work in a variety of industries and businesses.  These include everything from hairdressing, to opticians, bridal, plus size, corporate workshops, etiquette specialists, fashion design, personal shoppers, wardrobe makeover artists, makeup artists and stylists.  The list is endless.  You may choose one stream, or a variety.
Many people become image consultants to help them improve on existing skills for their current position.  Other want to be the masters of their destiny and run an image consulting business – the choice is yours.
Image consulting is about empowering people with knowledge and raising self-esteem, a recent study done at the University of Michigan proved its value in achieving this.

Style Training

• Comprehensive training manual
• 2 sets each of male and female Style Files to use with clients.

• Monthly personal or phone coaching sessions for 12 months after training

Colour Analysis Training
Components of the Course

• Colour theory and the development of personal colour analysis
• The science of colour
• Understanding the colour wheel
• Colour psychology
• Personal colour analysis - learn how to use the universal colour system of 14 colour directions by draping multiple live models
• Consultants own colour analysis
• Find your clients signature colours
• Find your clients contrast levels
• Teach your client to talk to a hairdresser
• Colour and fabric
• Using colour and illusion when dressing your clients
• Make-up - colour selection and simple application techniques to teach your clients

Holistic Training

Our Image Consultant Training is developed with the whole client in mind. We do not measure clients, but teach you how to analyse body shapes with your eyes and other simple, non-invasive techniques.
We believe that understanding the clients goals, needs and preferred outcomes is imperative and take a holistic approach, the client’s image is an expression of who they are on the inside, not just which hemlines or necklines work best for them.
We teach you how to show   your client how to break the rules.
We show you how to understand the client’s personality and how that must be expressed through the styles of clothes they choose.
We take a very ‘hands on’ approach during the training, it’s not just book learning but practical exercises and experiences to ensure you feel confident to work with clients immediately. We provide you with a range of tools to use with your clients, but don’t lock you into expensive ongoing fees; you only pay for what you use. You brand your image tools with your business image, your logo, your slogan and details, not ours.  As part of the course you get a light lunch and morning and afternoon tea.
